About

I earned my MFA from New York University’s Dramatic Writing Program and am a member of the WGA, west, through the Independent Film Caucus and the Animation Writers Caucus.

I have written, researched and associate produced in television and independent film for over 10 years. After earning my BA from Santa Clara University, I spent time studying graduate work in theater at Stanford University. I did theater and was a member of San Jose State’s Choraliers, an international award-winning a cappella choral group led by Dr. Charlene Archibeque. I also studied at University of London, with an emphasis in Shakespeare and Dickens – in the house where Dickens lived!

I’ve written for GRB Entertainment, NHNZ, Showtime Entertainment Magazine, Disney, Mean Magazine, Fox, Lifetime, and E!, Big Apple Parent’s Paper, Valley Scene Magazine, covering film festivals, reviews, travel and trade. As a story analyst, I worked for Sundance, Alan Pakula, Warner Brothers, Spring Creek, Scholastic, Young Playwright’s, Script Pimp, and Storymark. In advertising, I am represented by Creative Circle and Syndicate Bleu. For unscripted and alternative programming, my partner and I are being represented by the Gersh Agency.

I wrote and researched for the DVD of Disney’s hit movie, Lilo & Stitch, and she freelances as a writer/creative services for advertising agencies, including Disney Cable Network. She has worked as a producer/researcher in TV at Fox, Lifetime, and E!

I am a co-founder of NYU Writer’s Lab West, a producing writer’s group. At NYU, I studied playwriting with Arthur Miller, John Patrick Shanley, David Ives, Tina Howe, Lanford Wilson, and A.R. Gurney, and screenwriting with Charles Purpura and Mark Dickerman. In Los Angeles, she studied through to the Writer’s Lab at The Groundlings Improv School.

I have traveled extensively for assignments in New York City, Europe, UK, South Africa, Mozambique, Scandinavia, Hawaii, the Philippines and Morocco.

For three years, I was the Managing Artistic Director of a summer conservatory at the 92nd St Y. I directed, taught, and wrote original musicals with inner city kids, collaborating with Broadway composer, Paul Scott Goodman.
